Osteopathy
We are trained to treat joint problems and muscle problems of many kinds.
If you are unsure if I can help you, please feel free to phone and speak to me, on 07984 791 803 or 0800 902 4052.
In a session you will be asked about your general health to check that it is safe for you to be treated.
It is often necessary to take your reflexes and blood pressure.
Osteopaths use their hands to assess tension and restriction of your muscles, joints and connective tissue internal organs.
Cranial osteopathy is very gentle manipulation and patients often describe:
A deep release, an achey sensation or warmth as strains unwind and heal.
You will be asked to stand as I assess your posture and then move so that I can see what hurts and why.
After a relaxing treatment your diagnosis will be explained.
A treatment plan may include stretches and exercises. These will be explained in detail. We are trained to make sure that your treatment is safe and effective.
Is it safe?
Yes. Osteopathic training is rigorous, lasting four years and includes training in when to refer people who need medical attention. Treatments often work around ongoing health conditions.
We are closely regulated by the General Osteopathic Council and must comply with their training targets every year in order to continue to practice.
Do you need a GP referral ?
No. You can book yourself in. Your GP would only be contacted if you are happy for this to be done. I would let you know if we needed to contact your GP for any reason.
To book in simply phone 07984 791 803 or 0800 902 0452, to make an appointment to suit you.
